Learn more about Japanese culture in an interactive show at the Friendship Garden in Phoenix. In collaboration with the Japan Foundation LA, they are hosting an event of entertainment and excitement on the last Sunday of March.
It’ll be an interactive samurai show performed by Burai Production where ticket holders will learn more about samurai movements, sword holding, and manner of speaking. Paper swords will be provided for a first-hand experience.
After 40 minutes of a closer look at the tradition, they will show the movie “Uzumaza Limelight,” which focuses on an aging background actor. Everything will take place outdoors!
About Uzumaza Limelight
The movie will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles. It’s a drama that evokes the pathos of an actor who specializes in the waning samurai film genre.
