Women’s History Month kicks off, and many Phoenix businesses will honor it in different ways. Greenwood Brewery, a woman-owned microbrewery in downtown Phoenix has announced that they will be donating sales from two separate products to support women in their community.
Owned by Megan Greenwood, the brewery will be donating $1 per pint of their Herstory Pale Ale and %5 of their Herstory keg sold within other restaurants and bars towards two women organizations: UMOM and Fresh Start. Donations will start to be collected from March 1 through March 31.
“As a woman-owned business, we believe in supporting other women, especially those who are in difficult circumstances,” said Greenwood in an interview for AZ Family. “We are fortunate to still be operating and opening in the middle of COVID, and we want to give back to those who may not be so fortunate.”
The two nonprofits supported by the brewery helps women to find jobs, become independent, and end homelessness.
Their location includes a taproom with two beer gardens that you need to visit ASAP! Get your brew on and support women-owned businesses in the valley this March.
