What’s on at Wonderspaces:
Here are some of the highlights currently on display:
Blooms by John Edmark: 3D-printed sculptures that are based on the golden ratio and animated under a strobe light, so when they spin, their forms appear to grow.
Plume by Ian Brill: A giant dome installation where color, light and sound move together. The result is a totally immersive and ethereal ecosystem.
Eli by Nate Milton: An animated short film drawn from the filmmaker’s own experience with manic delusion and magical thinking.
Sweeper’s Clock by Maarten Baas: This 12-hour video sees two performers sweep the hands of a clock face using brooms and debris, to show physical labor representing the passing of time.
The space also features kinetic art that mimics your movements and even robotic sketch artists ready to draw your portrait.
