About The Smashing Pumpkins
They are an American alternative rock band from Chicago, formed in 1988. They’ve won two Grammy Awards and one American Music Award. Their last album, “Cyr,” was released in 2020 and featured a synth-pop sound. All tracks were written by Billy Corgan, the bandleader. It generally received favorable reviews.
Jane’s Addiction is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1985. Their last album, “The Great Escape Artist,” was released 11 years ago. It was their first album since their 2003 release, “Strays.” The vocalist, Perry Farrell, explained, “it’s a strange mixture of post-punk goth darkness that Jane’s had, with what’s going on today with groups like Muse and Radiohead.”
