After almost 7 years in service, POMO Pizzeria in Downtown Gilbert is closing its doors, saying goodbye to a loyal clientele that enjoyed afternoons with family and friends eating pizza, pasta, and salads.
On June 2, the restaurant delivered the hard news through an Instagram post, letting patrons know they can still visit other POMO’s around town.
“To our valued Gilbert guests and friends, it is with a heavy heart that we’re announcing the closing of our Gilbert location. We are grateful to the Gilbert community for all your love and support, and will certainly look forward to serving you at one of our Scottsdale, Biltmore, or Downtown locations. Thank you for your continued support and please follow us for updates and exciting news”, they wrote, next to a picture of the restaurant.
The restaurant didn’t share any more info behind the reason for their closure, with tenths of foodie fans asking in the comments, and even mentioning that they were always full of customers.
Pomo is the creation of Italian chef, Stefano Fabbri, who moved to the US in 2009 and opened his first restaurant in Scottsdale in 2010.
