Calling all Kevin Smith fans!
The cult film director famous for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, and Clerks is bringing the fictional fast food joint from his films back to life next month. And the first one in 2021 is right here in the Valley!
Smith brought his insanely popular ‘authentic fake fast food’ to fans all over last year, including LA, New Jersey, Chicago, Toronto and Minneapolis, and now Phoenix is getting a taste of the fun. Fans will be psyched to experience comical menu items from the Askewniverse in real life, like ‘CockSmoker chicken sandwiches’, ‘Hater Totz’ and ‘Cow Tipper burgers’ (vegan and non-vegan options available). And don’t worry, you’ll get to try ‘Moo Sweets’ like those delicious chocolate-covered pretzels, too.
‘Jungle Juice’ and other themed drinks are of course also on the menu. Smith’s Arizona outpost has even teamed up with local Four Peaks Brewing Co. to bring fans an ‘Udderly Delicious Pale Ale’ to accompany their meals. So get ready to be transported to your favorite fictional fast food joint, Phoenix!
The set-like pop-up will be in town from February 5 until February 14. Fans that go on February 5 might even see Smith himself, who says he may make an appearance at the pop-up for the grand opening – snoochie boochies!
Tickets for this one-of-a-kind experience must be purchased in advance and cost $29 (includes an entree sandwich and a side). Extra sides, drinks and desserts can be added in advance or at pick-up. Tickets are on sale on the Mooby’s Pop-Up website – and they won’t last long.
Mooby’s will be hosted at The Van Buren during its stay here in Phoenix and is set to open daily from 11am to 8pm. Fans can pick up their orders to enjoy at home or on Mooby’s outdoor patio with limited seating. The whole experience will be socially distanced and reservations will be staggered to limit capacity, so you can snap your selfies in peace. And don’t forget to pick up some awesome merch on your way out!
