What’s better than a classic flick under the stars?
FilmBar has opened a brand new outdoor theater in Roosevelt Row, and it’s awesome. The new space is located at The Pemberton PHX, a new concept space housed in the historic Pemberton House on North Second Street. Designed to become Phoenix’s go-to outdoor playground, The Pemberton PHX is already home to a few local eateries and bars, and now FilmBar is a part of the lineup!
In its new permanent home, FilmBar has set up a massive screen backed by two stacked shipping containers, facing rows of colorful (and socially distanced) chairs. The sandy lot is a total downtown oasis, making for a perfectly lovely and safe evening out for film buffs and casual moviegoers alike.
FilmBar fans can come enjoy screenings of classic films, old and new, or book a ticket to sing along at the indie theater’s famous Big Gay Sing Along series, held on a monthly basis.
FilmBar holds several screenings a week. Screenings for this week include The Greatest Showman, In The Mood For Love, The Babadook and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. You can check the film schedule for the full list of showings here.
Tickets cost $14 per person (plus a small fee), with the option of donating a ‘COVID Booster’ to help FilmBar survive the times. Capacity is limited to ensure everyone’s safety, so make sure to secure your tickets early!
Location: 1121 North Second Street
