“Unfortunately, like many other municipalities, Phoenix has been affected by the ongoing supply chain issues. The City’s contractor was unable to secure fireworks for the events. We apologize to our community for the inconvenience”, said Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Marty Whitfield in a press release.
The city hasn’t held an Independence Day fireworks event since 2019 due to COVID-10 concerns.
But they’re not all bad news. People from Phoenix can drive to other Arizona cities to enjoy the fireworks. Choose between Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Peoria, Surprise, and more to spend your Independence Day holiday.
Plus, different restaurants and bars around Phoenix will be hosting their very own Independence-themed parties in case you’re not interested in commemorating the day with fireworks.
