Barringer Meteor Crater is located between Flagstaff and Winslow on the Colorado Plateau, just under three hours away from downtown Phoenix. The crater was also used as a training ground for astronauts heading to the Moon during the Apollo program. Your kids will love it!
A museum on-site features visits to the Meteor Crater, guided rim tours, and a collision 4D theater. There’s also a crater-themed bistro and mineral gift shop.
