Recreational weed has arrived: here’s where to get it.
Arizona voted to legalize recreational marijuana last November. Now, after months of ironing out all the nitty gritty details, Phoenix locals can purchase weed from a number of dispensaries in the Greater Phoenix area.
Applications for ‘early applicant’ establishments opened up just last month (January 19), the first of which were approved on January 22. As of February 9, the Arizona Department of Health Services has issued a total of 108 licenses, and sales are officially open!
The new law states that adults aged 21 and over can legally purchase an ounce or less of recreational marijuana, up to five grams of which can be in the form of a concentrate, from a licensed dispensary.
